Why This Matters— according to FrostCrow104

ASC-DCI StEM I (Standard Evaluation Material) was a technical reference production created in 2003–2004 by the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) in collaboration with Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI). Unlike a feature film, it was designed specifically to evaluate and establish image-quality standards for the emerging digital cinema ecosystem. It became one of the foundational tools used while developing the Digital Cinema Initiative specifications. On July 22, 2005, YouTube user rstjean uploaded a five-second video that, according to archival research, contains footage from ASC-DCI StEM I (Standard Evaluation Material). This makes the production the earliest 1080p video posted to YouTube.
